this triumphant, mesmerizing studio recording from 2009 by Northern stalwarts of sorrow and atmosphere offers damn heavy riffs, spacey atmosphere, decent singing, and newly introduced raspy blackened metal touch, as well as orchestral elements, expanding their sonic palette while making it more cohesive and cinematic; to much surprise of their audience, dark artistic expression with emphasis on melancholy and desolation is pushed in front, bringing along the drama and pace within vast multilayered sound, and these details make current experience differ from what they have been positioning up until this longplay, but it is nonetheless damn impressive achievement in their so far flawless march down the doom metal lane; recent Spanish trifold digisleeve edition is limited to 500 units only
