sophomore full-length recording [2002] by charismatic Northern four-piece is built upon catchy, groovy, but stylistically stripped down approach and slacken pace of the longplay debut, partly because the creative entity at the start of their activities was bursting with unique ideas that simply could not fit into a single release, so nine raspy tracks on offer extend this enthusiastic streak, yet sound tighter, sharper and more focused - co-mastered by Satyr Wongraven [Satyricon], twisted and sludgy but clear enough production becomes their trademark direction, while gargling vocals, grim biting riffs and severely necrotic emotions end up in quite a consistent, inflaming and convincing set of solid, violent music; recent British edition comes with a remastered sound and demo version of 'Rovnatt' from 2000 as bonus
