opening up with Bob Seger's 'Rosalie' cover, who could expect this longplay [1975] to become the first real focused and more hard rocking album by an Irish legend, where both guitar players, Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham revealed a brilliant songwriting and signature twin guitar sound, where melodic lines intertwine with sharper riffs while rhythm section adds extra weight and drive to the music, with memorable harmonies taking the leading role along the vocal expression that proves Lizzy to become a powerforce to be dealt with damn seriously, regardless of a somehow romanticized approach of certain tracks which was always a part of their direction nonetheless; heavier and more intense side of music was inspired by audience reaction during numerous live shows, eventually materializing into this set of highly expressive songs; recent European edition comes with a remastered sound and Stuart Bailie commentary
